I am pleasantly surprised you briefly touched on easy credit, inflation. This is such an evil, deconstructive force for the greater part of society. I once dreamed I would " start doing something about it". Now I am 55, working as a senior controller in a very demanding business environment (growth!!). I read a lot on the financial system. I should learn how to use today's technologies like you teach (MediaLight) and actively seek God in this. It is a huge, seemingly invincible monster to battle. A superstronghold. I cannot do it without God, I cannot do it alone. Just sharing. I am breadwinner in a family of 5. Netherlands.
sounds like an interesting book and I will read it... Still, I struggle with those concepts. I don't disagree with the facts that you are describing about power systems of the world and their ultimate demise.. which includes churches that build and protect their power thru worldly systems of growth. The New Covenant is what Jesus spoke of and taught us how to live in this world powered by His upside down heavenly kingdom. This is a kingdom that shall never end and will survive past and thru every reset of any earthly kingdom including "christian" ones. If this eternal kingdom is where our most valued assets are stored, like the sparrow, we will always have what we need. If we read book like this, as factual as it is, and allow the fear of not enough to invade us then our assets need to be moved into a new account. I love the book by Jamie Winship "Living Fearless" Exchanging the Lies of the World for the Liberating Truth of God. Blessings Jake G
Thanks so much, Jake! I have similar thoughts, but I didn’t want to sound preachy. It’s so easy to become disheartened by the loss of comfort and security we’ve known in the past. I heard One young Pastor say this week that modern Christians are really no different from anyone else And their worldview. We just had church. If the dream of God‘s kingdom Doesn’t grip our heart and compel us forward I think it’s going to be very difficult to cope with the last days. It really is time to move our resources and the foundation of our identity away from who we have been in this civilization to what we will enjoy in the new world. Thanks again for your thoughtful comment.

Thanks for your comments, John. It’s nice to have the perspective of someone who is serving God in the business sector.
